Orchards Children's Services wishes to thank everyone who made the last year so remarkable.  From the scores of wonderful families who embrace our children, to the supporters who make our work possible.  We're thankful for the opportunity to serve and be of service to every child, youth and family, as well as our greater community.  A special thank you to our Donors...

Orchards' Bike Olympics, sponsored by Kroger, was held on June 25.  The generous donations from so many made a great impact on our goal of giving 250 bikes, helmets and locks to our children.  Giving a young boy or girl their first bicycle can be so meaningful.  Just imagine their joy when riding that bike around the block for the first time!  With sincere gratitude we would like to acknowledge the kindness that came from so many of our supporters in giving our young people a tool that represents health, independence and responsibility.  View the video
Families from Orchards ...were selected to attend a Nutritional Walk Through Tour and in-store dining experience at Meijer Supermarket in Royal Oak on July 7.

The Children's Charities Coalition and the Red Wings Alumni Association were happy to team up for the President's Ball on July 11 at the Townsend Hotel in Birmingham.  This was a special "Sold Out Evening", not only to those attending, but for the children in our community whose lives were touched in the process.  Kroger was the presenting sponsor for the evening.

The Council on Accreditation (COA) partners with human service organizations worldwide to improve service delivery outcomes by developing, applying, and promoting accreditation standards.

COA envisions excellence in the delivery of human services globally, resulting in the well-being of individuals, families, and communities.

Orchards is pleased to announce not only achievement of this accreditation, but a perfect score!

Orchards held its Annual Champions for Children event on April 15.  The theme for this year's event was Home Grown: Support Michigan, Support Our Kids.  We were proud that the evening's awardees were: Robert Bobb, Project 2000, Carolyn Clifford and First Presbyterian Church of Birmingham.  The event, held at the Gem Theater, was a fun-filled night with a wonderful live and silent auction, dinner and entertainment.  View the video
