At Orchards, our priority is keeping families safely together. Our Family Preservation programs provide home-based prevention services to families, offering the support and resources increasing overall family wellbeing.
Our Commitment to Success
Our approach is proven and effective. 95% of families who participate in our preservation programs remain safely together, avoiding the trauma of separation and building a stronger foundation for the future. We attribute this success to the compassion, commitment, and skillsets of our team of human service professionals. Our commitment to success does not end at program completion, as we continue to support families through our continued outreach months after program closure.
Family Preservation Care Coordination and Family Guides
Stability often depends on having a clear roadmap to essential resources. Our Family Preservation Staff also act as dedicated partners in navigating the various systems of care. Our Family Preservation team members are members of integral multi-disciplinary committees in many communities, which supports us in the following roles:
- Resource Linking: We connect families to vital community resources, including medical providers, mental health services, and educational advocates.
- System Navigation: We help families understand and manage the requirements of state and county agencies, ensuring the family remains the priority.
- Personalized Advocacy: We stand by families to ensure their voices are heard, and their specific needs are met.
- Person Centered Coaching / Teaching: We use a variety of teaching / modeling methods to ensure barriers are reduced for parents and children to receive the resources they are eligible for and deserve. Our staff assist with form completion, phone calls, and often accompany people to appointments to ensure everyone has the support they need.
