Support Services: A 360-Degree Circle of Care

At Orchards, we recognize that navigating the complexities of the child welfare and healthcare systems can be overwhelming. To ensure no branch of the family tree is left without resources, we provide specialized support services designed to wrap around our core programs. Our goal is to provide a complete approach to stability, healing, and growth.

Adoption Resource Consultants (ARC)

The Adoption Resource Consultants (ARC) program is a specialized initiative designed to find permanent, lifelong connections for children who have been waiting the longest for a "forever" home.

  • Our Focus: We serve children in the foster care system who have a permanency goal of adoption and have been legally free for adoption for one year or longer without an identified adoptive resource.
  • Our Expertise: Every Orchards ARC consultant holds a degree in social work or a related field. They possess demonstrated expertise in the Michigan adoption process and specialized recruitment strategies for adoptive parents.
  • Our Goal: We work tirelessly to bridge the gap between children awaiting placement and families ready to provide a permanent legacy of love.

Care Coordination and Family Guides

Stability often depends on having a clear roadmap to essential resources. Our Care Coordinators and Family Guides act as your dedicated partners in navigating the various systems of care.

  • Resource Linking: We connect families to vital community resources, including medical providers, mental health services, and educational advocates.
  • System Navigation: We help you understand and manage the requirements of state and county agencies, ensuring your family remains the priority.
  • Personalized Advocacy: We stand by our families to ensure their voices are heard and their specific needs are met by community partners.

A Legacy of Stability

These support services are integrated throughout the Orchards continuum of care. By working in partnership with parents, relatives, foster parents, and youth, we empower families to achieve the stability and long-term self-sufficiency they deserve.
