Job description

As a Foster Care Supportive Visitation Worker with Orchards Children’s Services, you will conduct parent/child visits in order to assist children and families in moving toward a permanency plan. You will schedule planning and debriefing sessions with the parent(s), for 30 to 60 minutes in duration, to begin within 48 hours prior to the parent/child visit start time or within 48 hours of the visit end time to provide visit planning, feedback and visit debriefing. You will utilize the Nurturing Parent education Curriculum to deliver parent education interventions. During each visit, observe parent(s) interaction with the child(ren) and provide support, coaching, and intervention with the family when necessary to maximize the parent’s ability to guide their child(ren) to successful interaction. Utilize the Nurturing Parenting materials and videos, role-playing, directed interactions, discussions, and/or modeling appropriate behaviors, to facilitate the parent education model. Provide Court testimony if requested by the referring worker or parent(s). Use solution focused interviewing techniques and positive empowering language in communications with the family and each other.

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS
