JOB TITLE: Trauma Assessment Clinician

REPORTS TO: Trauma Assessment Supervisor

 JOB SUMMARY: The Trauma Assessment Clinician’s primary responsibilities will be providing Trauma Assessment services in *Regions 11 and 12. The services include but are not limited to the completion of an in-depth assessment of the impact of trauma a child has experienced. It assesses how the trauma impacts the relationship with the child’s caregivers and the child’s functioning and includes recommendations for services or community supports for the child and family to heal and remain stable in the home setting. The purpose of the assessment is to obtain clinical recommendations to guide caseworkers in developing case plans to assist the child and family with addressing identified trauma, behaviors, and diagnoses that meet clinical criteria. These assessments are not intended to provide answers to best interest decisions (such as permanency, parenting time or placement). Best interest decisions will solely be made by the caseworker based on a holistic review of the child’s case and following their supervisor discussion and support.

QUALIFICATIONS:

·Licensed master’s level social worker, psychologist or counselor trained in the assessment and/or treatment of trauma in children or adolescents required.

· A minimum of one year’s experience working with Courts, Foster Care, Adoption, or Family Preservation is required.

· Some experience providing mental health testing/assessment or treatment preferred.

· Demonstrated ability to collaborate with multiple service providers and community partners.

· Established history of maintaining an ethical practice (e.g. awareness of ethical standards and conduct); demonstrates strong interpersonal skills (e.g. establishes and maintains rapport, accurately perceives and understands clients, and maintains role boundaries); Recognizes diversity, individual difference, and cultural humility in clinical practice.

Pay: $33,500 – $35,600 per year
