Promise Scholarship

Serving 15 Michigan Counties

The Promise Scholarship Fund was started at Orchards in 2014 to provide direct services and financial aid to high school seniors, who have survived chronic abuse/neglect, yet demonstrate promise in the area of academic achievement and self-sufficiency. With private funding from businesses, corporations, and individual donors, Orchards’ high school graduates are able to attend four-year colleges and universities, community colleges, or technical and vocational schools to further their education and enter their chosen careers.

Our young adults need the opportunity to stretch their minds and bodies, to build confidence and skills. For so many the thought of college has never crossed their mind, however with an Orchards Promise Scholarship this can become a reality.
